01
The Brief
Our brief was to develop an interactive basketball game that would utilise audio, video and gamification to drive attendee engagement onto the Rapyd stand @ ICE 2025 Barcelona.
It needed to be bold, loud, and exciting to pull people in, enabling booth staff to interact with more attendees during the show.
02
System Design
We began to develop a system that leverages laser sensors and Raspberry Pi devices to accurately track the number of successful baskets made by users in 30 seconds.
Real-time data feed into a leaderboard and a live scoreboard next to the hoop. Hosts can manage names and data via an iPad, and the whole experience was triggered via an illuminated button on the wall.
To enhance the user experience, we incorporated audio triggers, including a starter's horn sound effect and an engaging game state track.

03
Install & Support
Having successfully designed and built a solution, the next job was to fly out to Barcelona to install in situ.
We had three days to install, calibrate and test the system, ready to hand over for the exciting live days!
04
Debrief
Having drawn large crowds into the space and packing out the stand for all 3 live days, all parties involved considered the solution a huge success. With the end client delighted, James Deakin - Projects Director @ Production Concepts said "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
